Clarisse Jenkins

Born to the Beta of a werewolf pack and raised to someday take his place, the Jenkins family became a laughing stock the day she turned 16. Where most of the pack members her age were coming into their wolves and finding mates, Clarisse had to shock everyone. The elders expected a gorgeous wolf to stand in front of them. They were greeted by a meek red fox, instead.

Fully suspecting her mother had been unfaithful, the council exiled them both. Marie rapidly spiraled, taking her anger out on Clarisse by calling her the most spiteful names she could conjure. She abandoned the girl before her seventeenth birthday, forcing her to embrace her second nature for survival. By the time she was 18, Clarisse had nearly mastered the shift and sought a clean slate the next state over. She started small by selling mushrooms and berries she'd foraged. Then people discovered she had a knack for sniffing out the freshest produce, so to speak, and began requesting help with shopping. Business boomed.

Eventually, she found it more lucrative to have her own greenhouse. This way she could guarantee every time that her stock was organic and pesticide-free.
